Outbound to LinkedIn Connections of Your Team
When new team members join, their LinkedIn network can be a valuable source of opportunities - just make sure they're comfortable with you sending emails to their connections. Here's how to set up automated outbound that works at scale.
Building Your Audience
Start by having your team member export their LinkedIn connections data. They can do this through LinkedIn's privacy settings under "Get a copy of your data," selecting just the connections option. Once you have this exported list, upload it to create your audience.
Creating Your Connection Play
Set up a play specifically for these connections - in this case, we're creating a "Friends of [Team Member]" play. Since you have the connection list, you can skip prospecting and focus on engagement. Select all relevant mailboxes excluding the team member's own account.
Writing Sequences
Create sequences acknowledging the shared connection. Keep messages simple - mention their connection to your team member and introduce your solution. This approach makes your outbound feel relevant while staying scalable.
By leveraging your team members' networks thoughtfully through automated plays, you can expand your reach through warm connections.
